The School Day

The school day starts at 8:45am and ends at 3:15pm for a total of 32.5 hours a week. .  Children need to be in class and settled promptly.  The afternoon starts at 1pm.

Gates open from 8:35am and close at 3:25pm.  Parents can access the playground and wait outside their child's class.  Children should come into school on their own from this point; older children often walk to school by themselves.  Parents are asked to leave the site promptly and to not arrive too early for pickup, we aim to minimise time on site where possible.

Children need to bring their reading book, water bottle and packed lunch as appropriate as well as a coat and hat as required.

There is a morning playtime which lasts 15 minutes; children have access to the site and some toys.

Lunch is between 12pm-1pm for lower school and 12:10-1pm for upper school.  Children can order school lunches in the morning or bring packed lunches from home.  Playtime includes access to the site, toys and playpod (where possible).

Key subjects such as reading, phonics, writing and maths tend to be taught in the morning with other subjects covered across the week.  PE is on allocated days and children need to come dressed in school uniform on these days with a PE kit.
