Shearwater farm is an important part of school life and is loved by us all. The ‘Quackery’ is home to our assorted breeds of ducks and chickens, we have hutches for our outdoor rabbits and guinea pigs and our small herd of goats, Cinnamon and Nutmeg two Golden Guernseys and Rosemary and Basil two pygmy goats have a stable and free roam out of school hours. 
It’s great to see children outdoors reading to and spending time with the animals and also growing, nurturing and tendering to the plants in the garden. The farm is looked after by the children whatever the weather from Tribe and Farm Club which runs 3 afternoons a week. All manner of farm duties are carried out by the children from collecting eggs, mucking out, replenish and cleaning ponds, planting seeds, tending to plants and enjoying being outside whatever the weather and most importantly having fun!
